On 12 July 2025, the World Heritage Committee inscribed The Archaeological Landscape of 17th Century Port Royal, Jamaica on the World Heritage List. This decision marks a milestone for Jamaica and the English-speaking Caribbean, coming a decade after the inscription of the Blue and John Crow Mountains as the country’s first World Heritage site.

Green Road Studios played a central role in the site’s restoration and storytelling.

Our team led the refurbishment and design efforts, including historically accurate recreations of the British coastal battery gun, officers’ quarters, and surrounding period structures. From hand-fabricated props to environmental detailing, every element was crafted to authentically reflect the era and enhance visitor immersion. This attention to accuracy and atmosphere contributed directly to Port Royal’s successful recognition as a UNESCO World Heritage destination.

Every great experience starts with a narrative—a reason for people to care, connect, and remember. Story gives context to architecture, meaning to motion, and emotion to space. It’s the through-line that shapes our concept work, guides production design, and ensures every detail contributes to a cohesive, memorable journey.
